The 2016 Brick Sustainability Report, provides a detailed account of how the clay brick sector in the UK has performed against its collective sustainability strategy, and demonstrates the progress made since the launch of the first sustainability report in 2001. It reports against the targets set through the collaborative Resource Efficiency Action Plan, and shows significant progress particularly in the areas of waste and water consumption. The robustness of energy and carbon data contained in this report is much improved on early figures.
