In the age-old tradition of brick manufacture, West End Claybrick, founded some 30 years ago, is proud to be able to provide all sectors of the building industry with quality yet affordable Face (FBS), Semi Face (FBA) and Clay Plasters (NFP).

West End is a ‘World Class’ manufacturing facility in the production of clamp fired clay bricks and will soon be embarking on a drive to obtain the SABS mark of approval.

In our bid toward a greener future, we provide our clients with unique quality products sourced from all natural resources, which provide excellent insolation, durability, fade resistance, low maintenance and most importantly, aesthetically appealing clay bricks.

Our product range consists of Golden, Ivory, Dapple, Dapple Multi-mix Light, Dapple Multi-mix Dark, Fire Box Brown, Clinker-mix, Caramel Multi-mix, Autumn and Honeyglow-mix. These are all available in a Travertine finish.

Our Logistics Division is able to provide clients with practical solutions for nationwide deliveries.

Langkloof Bricks made history by introducing the first new energy efficient Vertical Shaft Brick Kiln (VSBK) in Africa.

This clay brick factory, owned by the Blake family in Jeffreys Bay is on record for pioneering one of the most technologically advanced VSBK kilns in the world today.

This is as a result of the successful implementation of a Technology Transfer programme initiated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation (SDC), Swisscontact (Swiss Foundation for Technical Co-operation) and SKAT (Swiss Resource Centre and Consultancies for Development).

Langkloof Bricks became a member of the Clay Brick Association of South Africa in 1978, joined Cofesa as a member in 1990 and is currently also a member of the Kouga Business Forum in Jeffrey's Bay.

Langkloof Bricks also fully supports the principles of the BBBEE initiative of the government and is currently rated at Procurement recognition Level 2.

Clay pavers, like red wine, actually get better with age. Their colour will never fade out and will still be there for centuries to come. Besides paving bricks De Hoop has also become known for its red facebricks used in various projects enhancing buildings in and around the Western Cape.
