Federale Stene (Pty) Ltd was established in 1958 and has been a leader in the clay brick industry every since. The company was acquired by die Lutzkie Group of Companies in 2006 and still proudly operates under the group until present day.

Our factory manufactures a wide range of genuine clay bricks including plaster, semi face, face  and maxi bricks. All products are SABS Quality Approved and are manufactured in accordance to ISO standards.   

An extensive range of products is available in various colours and textures ranging from light cream to dark blue.

Rosema Group (trading as Era Bricks) specialises in the supply of clay face bricks (FBS). The Rosema family has been in the brick business since 1942, and has a history of innovative brick production and continuous product improvement. Nylstene was established in 1988 and is situated in Modimolle (formerly known as Nylstroom) in the Waterberg District of the Limpopo Province.

Nylstene employs over 250 people and has a distribution network covering the whole of the Waterberg District, Gauteng and parts of the Greater Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Our production facilities and products conforms to the highest standards and complies to the standards of SABS 227.

We have acquired Mokolo Clay Bricks located in Ellisras / Lephalale.

Namclay Bricks and Pavers, started operating in Uis during 2006, when we saw the need for a locally produced brick that could withstand the harsh weather of the Namibian Coast.

We use unique processes to extract clay from old mine slime dams and use the proceeds to rehabilitate the mine and at the same time produce high strength quality bricks that are able to withstand the weather conditions of the Namibian coast.

Our bricks and pavers are suitable for all weather conditions and can be successfully used in all building conditions in Africa.

Namclay clay bricks are suitable for various applications, and because of the brick's strength, (maximum pressure strength of 40 Mega Pascal [MPa]) it is suitable for the erection of tall buildings with little or no re-enforced concrete structures.

Langkloof Bricks made history by introducing the first new energy efficient Vertical Shaft Brick Kiln (VSBK) in Africa.

This clay brick factory, owned by the Blake family in Jeffreys Bay is on record for pioneering one of the most technologically advanced VSBK kilns in the world today.

This is as a result of the successful implementation of a Technology Transfer programme initiated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation (SDC), Swisscontact (Swiss Foundation for Technical Co-operation) and SKAT (Swiss Resource Centre and Consultancies for Development).

Langkloof Bricks became a member of the Clay Brick Association of South Africa in 1978, joined Cofesa as a member in 1990 and is currently also a member of the Kouga Business Forum in Jeffrey's Bay.

Langkloof Bricks also fully supports the principles of the BBBEE initiative of the government and is currently rated at Procurement recognition Level 2.

Goedehoop Stene has been in business since the early1980’s. It was a family business that has been passed on to the next generation in 1997. We have recently welcomed Umbumbano Mining Trust as our BEE partner. We are proud to mention that we where recently scored as a level 5 company with a rating of 80%.
